Startup Challange by Wennovation Privacy Policy
This Applications Privacy Policy sets forth SOCAR Wennovation policy with respect to information that relates to or could reasonably be associated with an individual (“Personal Data”) and other information that is included in applications submitted to SOCAR Wennovation through https://startup-challenge.socar.com.tr/ (“website”)
1. Collection and Use of Application Information
In SOCAR Wennovation applications, we collect Personal Data relating to the applicant in order to complete the application process. We collect your name, surname, your company name and your occupation in the company, if applicable your university name, e-mail address, phone number and your area of interests regarding to the digital innovation topics and any other personal information that you prefer to submit (“Application Information”) with your application. We may use your Application Information for any SOCAR Wennovation-related purpose. This includes, without limitation: in order to process your application, to provide feedback regarding your application, to assess your competence regarding your areas of interest, to identify your areas of interest in digital subjects through the application form presented on https://startup-challenge.socar.com.tr/ by electronic means. We also store your consents regarding your application in order to comply with our legal obligations. We process your personal data in accordance with the basic principles specified in the data protection legislation and only for the purposes stated above as the data controller based on the legal ground “for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed”.
2. Disclosure of Application Information
By using our site, or providing information or applying to programs of SOCAR Wennovation, you understand and unambiguously consent to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of information in Turkey and other countries and territories, for the purposes set forth in this Policy. You hereby consent to the collection, use, disclosure and retention by SOCAR Wennovation of your Personal Data as described in this Policy, including but not limited to the transfer of your Personal Data between SOCAR Wennovation’s third parties, affiliates and subsidiaries.

Any such general information or knowledge you submit to SOCAR Wennovation may be used or disclosed by us or any person with whom we share your application for any purpose and in any manner.

We carefully choose vendors, service providers and other third parties with whom we share personal data and require them to commit to standards that we consider adequate. We take appropriate and reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the personal data.
